click on blog post on main page, it shows link cannot be found

I just started up a wordpress. It was installed for me. I don’t get however, when I posted the first post, you can see it on the home page. However when you click on it, it shows nothing, just an oops, sorry link cannot be found. I tried installing a different theme and it resulted in the same issue. Some help please. I’d appreciate it thanks.
