    The dates for the calendar are off or the times for the events are off? Maybe try checking all timezone settings and making it set to site default and not event source.

    Hi Nick

    It’s the actual dates that are off by a day, i.e. events on 4 December are showing as 3 December.

    I had tried changing the timezone setting as you suggested but it didn’t change anything. Should that be an instant change?

    If there anything I can put in the editor such as [when+1] or similar?

    I really do like this plugin and would love to get it back up running on the site.

    Thanks again for your help, Mark

    I’m also having events show up on the grid view a day late. I suspect a timezone issue, because the times listed for the event are incorrect (don’t match the google calendar event). I’ve tried setting both Default timezone and also my local zone (Eastern). No success. (Yes, this was a Google Calendar Events upgrade.)

    Importantly, the Preview display in the calendar editor is correct, but the one displayed on the actual website is not. I’ve cleared cache, but no success.

    This is causing real chaos, so any help would be most appreciated!

    Update: My situation was complicated by another WordPress cache. I cleared that, and now the website matches the preview.

    My event times and dates are now showing correct. I suspect what fixed the problem was going to Calendar advanced settings, changing the time zone to my local, then change it back to default. Hope this helps others!

    I’ve tried all combinations of timezone settings and no joy. I am using a grouped calendar though. However, even on a standard calendar the dates display a day early.

    Seems strange that people have had this problem on earlier versions whereas mine has been fine regarding this specific issue with the incremental updates up to 3.0.6. It was only the 3.0.8 update that caused the date shift.

    Thanks, Mark

    I as well am now having the same issue:

    Are you changing the timezone settings on the grouped calendar or on the individual calendars?

    There may be an issue with the “Event Source” option that we are looking into so we are suggesting to try the “Custom” option and setting it to your timezone there to see if it helps now.

    I encountered the problem with an ordinary calendar, not a grouped calendar. I got past it by changing timezones settings and then going back to the default timezone (under advanced settings).

    Troubleshooting was complicated by presence of a WP cache in addition to the calendar plugin caching.

    If you have events show up on the wrong day, be sure to check the event’s start and end times – I found that my event’s times were whacked. They were time-shifted (suggesting a timezone issue). Start times shifted from early evening to after Midnight resulted in an event showing up the following date – which at least makes some sense.

    I am having the same issue on a site that uses this plugin.

    Thanks @jbenni for laying out what you did.

    @fgd,

    Have you tried everything noted in this thread already?

    @nickyoung87 I think I’ve uncovered the possible behavior that is causing some event display issues and issues using the Google US Holiday calendar.

    It seams that events marked as “All Day” will show up on two days. My guess is that something might be interpreting “All Day” wrong. If it’s (12:00am to 12:00am) that might be interpreted as technically two days. I’m guessing “All Day” should be 12:00:00am to 11:59:59am.

    This might also be the reason that Google’s Holiday calendars are weird, but I haven’t dug into the plugin code to see if I can notice anything. If you need any further specific reports, let me know.

    @nickyoung87 I’ve tried changing the timezone setting on the grouped calendar and the individual ones but still displays a day behind.

    I’ve also set the caches to 1 minute and cleared other WP caches but no joy.

    Thanks, Mark

    @jess,

    Thanks for the insight. That was supposed to be fixed in 3.0.8 but it seems like there are still some issues somewhere with it.

    @ctcka,

    What timezone setting did you change and what did you try changing it to?

    I can confirm that my calendar is off – looks like it’s not fixed in 3.0.8.

    Do you have links to previous releases?

    Thank you for your efforts with this plugin.

    Hi Nick

    I’ve tried changing the timezone from ‘Events source default’ to ‘Site default’, and also to ‘Custom’ > ‘London’ or ‘Custom’ > ‘UTC+0’ (in my case). I’ve tried this on the grouped calendar and the standard Google calendar, I’ve tried just displaying a single calendar as well as grouped but dates still a day early.

    Thanks for your continued support on this.

    Hello all,

    So I think we have got this fixed now. I have created a beta version for 3.0.9 for any of you willing to test out and provide feedback. You can find it here:

    https://www.dropbox.com/s/cz66iiv5q8h8iwl/simple-calendar-3.0.9-beta1.zip?dl=1

    It is marked appropriately so that if you do install it when we update the plugin you will still receive the automatic update notification as usual.

    Thanks!
