Caption styling on Ipad

Hi people,

For some reason I don’t understand the changes I have made to the caption style shows up on my site when I use my laptop (chrome) and mobile (explorer) but not on my IPAD (safari).

I edited the captions: they used to be backround off-white and text black, now they should be background transparent and text green.

Would appreciate some help, I know I am going to need to do some work adapting the site to mobile devices but I can’t see why safari would just ignore my caption styling.
