    Hi!

I tried to migrate a page to a new host.
Installed version of WP on new server: WP 4.3.1
Tried several versions of the Migration plugin.
    Result is always the same:
Upload of backup file works (Filesize 180MB)
While “restoring files” the process indicator jumps to 4 percent and does not proceed any further. I left the process untouched for a long time several times with the same result. I can′t cancel the operation via button. When I close the tab and reopen the page I only get a php Error and the site is no longer accessable via backend login.
I really do need help as I see no way to get this fixed on my own.

Note: Tried several different versions of the plugin as listed in other threads of people who had problems with import.

    Hi Balschoiw,

I am sorry for the inconvenience.
Do you mind reaching out to me at support at servmask.com so that I can have an engineer recover the site for you?

    Hi Again,

I tried the whole 15 minute thing and thats a no go too. It just hangs up on restoring db. The website is their though but I can not login at all. Not with original logins or the export logins.

    thanks

    Hello,

Sorry about this folks. Looks like I chimed in when I didnt need to. I got my site to go. It took a couple times but waiting fifteen minutes, logging in and saving permalinks did do the trick.

Any insight on why its hanging up like that?

Not a problem at all, JimmyK.
Usually from what I have experienced with users, “Restoring database” occurs when they apply Find/Replace incorrectly (instead of replacing any values in the database, they put the old site URL and new site URL), have low max_execution_time and low memory_limit.
