Change Posts Carousel from square to landscape ratio

I’m using the Virtue Theme by Kadence Themes and I want to try to change the Posts Carousel that you can chose to use at the bottom of each post.

It currently shows recent or similar posts put shows a square header image. All my post header images are in landscape format, many with writing on them. This means the images look pretty stupid when it cuts of the writing. How can I change this to a landscape ratio?
