Problems with Collapsing Categories Plugin

The widget claims to be 2.3 compatible, and looking at the version downloaded from here: https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/collapsing-categories/
I would agree. It should work just fine. What problems are you having with it in particular?

The plugin is installed and activated but is not working – categories are not collapsible. See https://anaotero.com/blog/

It’s not working because it’s not being used. That page doesn’t have the Collapsing Categories Widget on it, just the regular categories widget.

Yes, but did you actually go to the Presentation->Sidebar Widgets admin screen and drag the Collapsing Categories Widget onto the sidebar?

Widgets are plugins, yes, but they’re usually not automatic. You need to actually put the widget onto the page before it works.
