gone after updating to 6.0.21

    Hello, a few hours after 6.0.21 was released, I updated from .20 to .21 and suddenly WF was gone. i did it from update-core.php interface.
    The only trace I found is the empty /wp-content/plugins/wordfence folder.
    Is there any way to recover the WF settings which doesn’t requires to use a backed-up version of the database?

  • Did you check and see if the database tables were gone? Normally, they are there unless you deactivate the plugin with the option to remove the tables checked. Try uploading a new copy via ftp and see if everything comes back.

    Great! If you know where to find the error log for your site, can you check if there were any messages logged, from when you attempted the update? It’s unusual to be left with an empty folder, but I’ve heard of it happening very rarely with Wordfence and with other plugins.
