WordPress says there are no comments even when there are

    Hi, for some reason wordpress keeps saying there are no comments to a post even when there are. It does this both in the main display and in the individual pages for each post. It displays the actual comments just fine, it just misleads readers into thinking no comments have been posted.

  • I see you are using 2.0.7 — can I encourage to upgrade to at least version 2.0.11?

    Any plugins in use there?

    If you edit the Post and save it does the comment count correct itself?

    Hi, editing the post and saving has no effect. I have deactivated all plugins and still don’t see a difference.

    I may consider upgrading if you think that will help though I’m not sure why it would.

    I am waiting to get a response from my hosting provider as to their version of MySQl and PHP. If i’m going to go through the trouble of upgrading, I might as well do the newest stable release. But in case they don’t have what the latest version needs, what are the requirements for 2.0.11? Where can I download that version as opposed to the newest stable release?

    Should have looked before asking… I found the release archive, does that have the requirements for each release listed?

    Unfortunately, My provider hasn’t a high enough MySQL version for the latest or even 2.1 version of WP, but I upgraded to 2.0.11 and the problem seems to have fixed itself, whatever the cause might have been.

    Hi there-
    I am having the same exact problem. I recently imported my entire WP.com blog and am now self hosting with WP software. All my comments are there, but each post says “no comments.” I’m using the latest WP software.
