  • Same problem as @anima9 with all my sites using Express curate (here is one).
    Any way to temporary fix the issue until the next plugin update?

    Thank goodness for that….

    I thought it was just my installation….

    Visual editor is disabled since WP 4.4 upgrade.
    Meaning when you go to add a new post (Outside of ExpressCurate) your only option to create a post is in text mode as visual mode is disabled.
    You cannot go to visual mode if you select it and you are automatically placed in text mode.

    The other issue (Which I believe is related to the above) is when you select new post > curate content (From within the new post, not within ExpressCurate) > Add a legitimate URL > Load
    The timer just spins indefinitely….
    I can only assume it is stuck as it needs to load within the editor in visual mode…

    All since WP 4.4

    Not had a response form the author yet! Or even an acknowledgement…..Great shame as I use ExpressCurate daily…..
    Back to manual curation or a different curation tool…..

    PS – Problem goes away (Posts can be edited and created in visual mode) when ExpressCurate is disabled…

    I’ve been getting the same error as you the both of you (the visual editor tab is disabled when editing or creating new post and only allows text/HTML mode) when I troubleshoot through the browser…it’s not just when I use Google Chrome, but Opera, Firefox and Safari (I’m on a Mac desktop for all my production)
    When I disable the plugin the issue goes away. So the plugin is the culprit. Just hope we hear soon from the author about a fix. I love the plugin for my curation task and the SEO feature is handy; I don’t want to go to a similar plugin or handle everything manually but will if I need to.

    Has anybody figured out how to fix the problem with the visual editor?
    Any response from the author?

    one email form author last week apologising etc.
    nothing since, am hoping they are working on it…

    If they fix it I’ll certainly be sending a donation for their efforts…..I really have missed this plugin ??

    Folks – The author has resolved the issue.
    Expresscurate is now fully functional again on WP 4.4.1
