permalinks and shortcodes

    Until recently, near the top of any page edit, there was a box providing a shortcode for the page.
    Under settings, permalinks, I selected the numeric selection.

    Now, the permalink shows the full name of the page even though I selected the numeric selection, and no box for shortcodes.

    Going back to earlier web sites, I am finding the same thing, so until corrected, I am assuming that this is related to version 4.4. If so, is there a plugin that will generate shortcodes for pages? I really liked using them.
