• After upgrading to 4.4 I’m unable to access my dashboard. The browser tab reads “Dashboard” but the window is blank. When I type anything after my site URL (example: jadedibispress.com/martin-nakell) I can see the toolbar, and even the dropdowns function, but once I click on any of them (example: “Posts”) the window goes blank again. I get this at the end of my URL: /wp-admin/update-core.php

I use Startlogic, who’s tech told me that they do not use 4.4. He said he was able to access my Dashboard through FTP. He said he updated my php.

I’ve tried these fixes, to no avail:

–multiple browsers & clearing cookies, history, etc. after doing the following:
–changing names of plugins and themes via FTP
    –redownloading WordPress 4.4

    I do need some help.

This is likely a conflict with a plugin or theme.

Try manually resetting your plugins (no Dashboard access required). If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

If that does not resolve the issue, access your server via SFTP or FTP, or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel, navigate to /wp-content/themes/ and rename the directory of your currently active theme. This will force the default theme to activate and hopefully rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).
