Great plugin and it has been working fine on this site for months now but recently I’m having problems with some events missing. I have included a feed below your calendar on this test page, with the raw google calendar for comparison.

    https://www.coronetcottages.co.uk/booking-test

If you scroll forward, you can see that there is a 7 day booking from 28th May – 4th June marked “Denise”. For some reason the plugin isn’t showing 1st june in that event.

There is a similar problem on August 1st.

There is also something odd going on with the way an event shows on an individual day which might be connected? If you scroll forward on both calendars to september, you’ll see I have added a ‘test matt’ event on 15 sept. On the plugin calendar it is showing as 15-16 sept. In Google, the event is entered as ‘all day’.

Any ideas or can I provide any more info which might help

Is the widget calendar pointing to the same calendar that is big on the page?

What are your event builder tags?

Thanks for your reply. Sorry to be dim! Where/what are the event builder tags? are they in the plugin or in Google?

yes the widget is pointing to the same calendar

The event builder tags are found in the text content are above your calendar settings. You can find out more about them here: https://docs.simplecalendar.io/event-template-tags/

Sorry I hadn’t seen those but I can’t see anything there which might help the missing day bookings. (very handy though, makes the calendar quite flexible)

I was using CSS to hide the description of the events because the client had added people’s names to the events so he know who had made the booking. I wasn’t using any event builder tags at all, I just had the plain text ‘Cottage Booked’ in the text content area which gave me a hover message.

I removed the CSS and added the tag [if-title]Cottage Booked[/if-title] which works, but didn’t affect the missing days. It’s very odd if you look at may into June, there is a booking which goes from Sat 28th May to Sat 4th June but somehow misses out 1st june. If I uncheck ‘all day’ in Google and pretend the booking is for 1 hour only each day with a start and end date (28th – 4th) the calendar recognises that the booking covers 1st June as well, and displays it. Likewise the date ‘test matt’ on 15th september.

When I change it back to all day in Google Calendar, 1st June disappears and 15th September becomes a 2 day event!

Is this a time zone issue or an offset?

There were recently a couple issues with all-day events and multi-day events. I would recommend updating to the most recent version (3.0.9) if you haven’t already. Let me know if the problem still exists for you then.

Also, it never hurts to check all the timezone stuff since that can cause weird things to happen. Here is our documentation on it if you are interested in going over it: https://docs.simplecalendar.io/timezone-settings/

Hi I have updated to 3.0.9 and checked all the settings listed in the page you linked to. All are now set to London but no luck I’m afraid. (Site uses WordPress 4.4 by the way)

What kind of calendar are you using? Is it a grouped calendar?

I am going to assume this has been resolved since there has not been a reply here. If you have any other issues please let us know and we will be happy to help.

    Thanks!

Sorry Nick. Thanks for reminding me, this fell off my radar! No it hasn’t been resolved but I think for now we are working around it by not checking the ‘all day event’ box. Maybe something which will resolve itself with future updates? I suspect we’re not the only people who have experienced this. (It’s not a group calendar by the way)

Sure no problem I understand it can get hectic at times ??

So are you running the latest (3.0.11) and it still is not working correctly? I just want to make sure.

    Thanks!

    yes 3.0.11 with WP v4.4

    Plugin Contributor Nick Young

    (@nickyoung87)

Ok I am not sure if this helps but there was a bug fixed in 3.0.12 that was making all-day events on the first of the month hidden. I will have to look into the other stuff more to see if I can reproduce/see if I can find out what might be going on.

    Did 3.0.12 help?

Sorry Nick, no it didn’t. Still missing 1st August booking! https://www.coronetcottages.co.uk/booking

Is that event event a multi-day event?
