I’m using TML to great success except that once you sign in and go to the site or home page, there’s no link to a person’s profile or a way to get to the personal admin page. The Howdy Scott! appears on the admin page itself but disappears when you go to the site. I’m probably missing something obvious here.

    Thanks for your help.

  • I wasn’t sure if TML handled whether or not to show the WP ‘Toolbar’ (also known as the ‘Admin bar’), but there are plugins that allow you to control which user roles can see it and you can enable/disable it entirely. It looks like it’s either off for that user role, user (there’s an option in the profile editor to show it), or for the site?

    Also, hello Scott Clark!

If you use the TML widget you can display a nice panel with the users avatar and “user links” such as profile, logout, etc.

Thanks, Jeff. I’ve been using your widget for several years. How do I get it to display the user avatar on the home page for users that are logged in?

Right now it only appears on their admin page.

Thanks again for a great widget!

If the widget is used and “Show when logged in” is checked, it will display the users avatar and the “user links”.
