Sidebar shows search box even with widgets

  • The search box shows up in my blog sidebar even with widgets in the sidebar. I have tried to comment out the search but if I do, all of the widgets on every page or post go away also. On top of that, the search box is not functional unless you use my mobile site. Thanks in advance for your help.
