Need help on structuring an idea about an app

  • The case is simple.

    I need to create a place where people can have their own private entries.

    I will have 2-3 type of “entries”. I will also need reporting and various output capabilities but that is not my main problem.

    I want to do it on WP and i want it to last. This means that i need to rely not too much on plugins.

    So i am thinking that i would have to create my CPTs and custom fields. My users would login to the backend and make their entries.

    Then i can provide them with reporting capabilities in the frontend? Or i should continue and make my users use only the backend?

    I know it seems a very simple idea, but i need to design it in my head as i would like to make it a subscription service later on. So extensive admin area customization or frontend cpt entry must be in my design goals….

    Am i looking to the wrong direction?
