    Hi!

I just uploaded 1235 records (number of records in the csv, confirmed by the importing process).

When working with the “list” function, just 237 records were available.
Using phpmyadmin, I can confirms that just 237 records are present in the database.

How can I find out what happent ? Is there a log file for the upload process ?
What else could/should be monitored ?

    Thanks,

    Gaston

There’s no log to see for that, but when you import, there is a status message that should explain what happened.

    Thanks

The status message says that 1235 records were imported.
    The list just shows 237.
PhpMyAdmin just shows 237, if I looked at the right thing.

Here is the message (in french):
    Importer un fichier CSV
Le fichier RBR-PourCharger Base de données Membres-WordPress-2015-12-16.1.csv a bien été chargé

Nouvelles colonnes importées depuis le fichier CSV
    1235 entrées ajoutées
2 entrées correspondantes mises à jour

I think I did find out what the problem is: the accented characters.
As soon as, in a record, there is an accented character in a field, the record is not loaded.

Could advise on the right way to correct the situation ?

    Thanks,

Ahhh..that makes sense. Well, first, make sure the CSV is getting exported with UTF-8 encoding. If that doesn’t fix it, I would suggest converting all the accented characters to HTML entities.

    .

    Perfect solution!

Found this trick on a forum:

One easy way to change excel ANSI encoding to UTF-8 is the open the .csv file in notepad then select File > Save As. Now at the bottom you will see encoding it set to ANSI change it to UTF-8 and save the file as new file and then your done.

    Thanks,
