WordPress site not displaying properly in some browsers

  • Since last night my home page is not displaying properly in Mozilla, Chrome or Microsoft Edge either for myself or friends in other locations, but looks normal in IE and Safari. I use a free Masonic theme and the boxes displaying the posts have lost their snippet of text they usually display, and are elongated, although the images are still displaying. I have spoken to my hosting site and it all looks normal their end. Have deleted all my PC caches etc but has not helped. I haven’t updated anything recently on my site or added anything.

  • Have you tried:

    • deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
    • switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    I have tried turning off the plugins and this didn’t make any difference.

    I have also tried previewing through other themes. Its quite hard to tell as I have such a specific layout but I don’t think its displaying properly in other themes either.

    Another tip I recently heard about is to disable your browser extensions and then to view your site. It mentioned that the Ad Blocker extension may have conflicting issues if you have this addon in your browser?

    I disabled my browser extensions and updated the theme and now all is back to normal. Thanks Adeline for your help ??

    I was just about to post a thread, my galleries stopped showing up properly on my home page. I just checked and IE does work properly, mozilla and chrome do not. https://www.mikecphotos.com

    I tried a different theme and that is not the issue. This just happened in the last few weeks.
