Responsive Images in 4.4 – how to use it?

    Hello,
    my assumption was that with upgrading to WP 4.4 all images which are uploaded in the future will be generated in more sizes than in 4.3.1 and the necessary attributes are added to the img-Tag.

    Is this correct or do I as a theme developer need to specifically query the images in a different manner than before?

    Can somebody please clarify?

    This is correct, all img tags will now include an additional srcset and sizes attribute containing all available image sizes for use by supported browser.
