You need to upload featured images to your posts, as these will be used for the thumbnails on archives, widgets, etc…

Can someone please help me on how to link my homepage widget to their various post by clicking on the Read more box, i am using MH NewsDesk Theme.

actually the “Read more” button will link to the particular posts out of the box (see theme demo). For more information about how to configure the theme, please refer to the theme documentation.
