Hi there! Could you please try disconnecting and then reconnecting Jetpack to WordPress.com?

To do so, navigate to Dashboard > Jetpack. Then, scroll to the bottom of the page and click the “Disconnect from WordPress.com” link. After doing so, click the “Connect to Get Started” button to reconnect.

Please let me know when you have done so, and I will check that your connection is working properly on our end. Then we can go from there!

    Hi Ryan,

I just reconnected and the same error is occurring. All other parts of wp.com seem to be working (I think!), but the posts view is not.

Thanks for giving that a shot. I’ve been testing things from our end, and it looks like we might be hitting some resource limits on your server. It may help to increase the memory limit allocated to PHP in your wp-config.php file. Something like the following might do the trick:
    define('WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '96M');

You can view this link for more information and step-by-step instructions:
    https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Common_WordPress_Errors#Allowed_memory_size_exhausted

Please let me know if that helps!

I’ve set the limit in wp-config.php and php.ini to 512MB, but it does not seem to have made any difference. The same error occurs. There do not appear to be any processes using any significant amount of memory, certainly nothing near the limit.

Since making this change the debug log now appears to include some errors:

[23-Dec-2015 21:33:51 UTC] PHP Warning: Illegal string offset ‘length’ in /var/www/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/class.json-api-endpoints.php on line 1182
[23-Dec-2015 21:33:51 UTC] PHP Notice: Uninitialized string offset: 0 in /var/www/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/class.json-api-endpoints.php on line 1182

Thanks for the update. I’m going to ask our team to look into this further, and I’ll let you know as soon as I have more information. Please let me know if you have any other questions in the meantime!

Thanks for your patience! We’ve been looking into this further and have a few more troubleshooting steps to try.

First, could you try disabling Jetpack’s Carousel and Tiled Gallery modules? You can do so by following these steps:

    1. From your Dashboard, navigate to Jetpack > Settings.

    2. Look for Carousel in the module list.

    3. Hover over it and click the “Deactivate” link.

    4. Repeat the above steps for the Tiled Galleries module.

Then, see is the original issue persists. Please let me know how that goes!

I disabled both modules, no change. I may try reverting some posts to draft to see if unpublishing them gets it unstuck.

Sorry to head that. We’ll look into this a bit more, and get back to you as soon as we have some news!

I’m afraid we still can’t reproduce the issue. Could you try to deactivate each one of your plugins, one at a time, and let me know if you find a conflict?

    Thanks!

The exact same thing is happening to me, but I’ve noticed that I can access both pages and posts from the WordPress iPhone app but not from the website on my PC!

disabling plugins, upgrading php memory has done nothing to resolve it. Most irritating.

@tom Could you please start your own thread, as per the Forum Welcome?

It could also help if you could let us know your site URL there, so we can take a closer look at the problem.
If you want it to remain private, you can also contact us via this contact form:

    Thank you!

The only plugins I have are Disqus and Jetpack. Disabling Disqus does not help.
