Have brain freeze – background colours

  • All-in-One Custom Backgrounds Lite

    I am being daft I know but I need some help please. I use the theme pure and simple. I have been l looking for a simple plugin so that when I create a page, the page area has a coloured back ground. Either that or I give my right sidebar a coloured background.

    Under background options…. if I click on “background options” button, nothing happens

    Under background group – when I create a background, in the Selector, what so I put here… ie body. Nothing changes if I put body. And all I want is the area where I add content to the page to be highlighted with a subtle colour. as opposed the whole page, header, widgets etc left alone

    If this is not the best widget, then please send me in the direction of a better one. I am using WP 4.4 which is proving a bit of a pain with plugins not being tested with 4.4

    Hi Michelle,

    You should be able to archive this, but you really have to use the correct selector. For chrome you might try this add-on to find the correct selector: SelectorGadget.

    The problem with selectors is, that there is no generic one you can use. This heavily depends on your used theme and of course where you want to change the background.

    Generally there should be no problem with WordPress 4.4. If you think there is a bug, please send us some more information, like link to your page, error logs …
