Social links won't open in new tab

  • Hello,

    Great theme! I’m currently using the free version. Is there a way to make the social link icons in the topmost header open in a new window? (target=”_blank”)?

    I can’t figure it out for the life of me.

    Glad you’re liking Make! To get your social links to open in a new tab, you’ll need to create a custom social menu. We have a tutorial for this in our documentation: Set up social profile links using a custom menu

    I created a custom social menu, but the links still won’t open in a new tab and there is no setting to make that happen. Do you have to upgrade to be able to get the links to open in a new tab? Thanks

    Hey there!

    Nope, you’ll see the checkbox when you add the menu items to your custom menu… If you don’t see the checkbox to open your links in a new tab, click the Screen Options toggle at the top of the screen and make sure you have the Link Target box checked.
