NextGEN not working with AVADA theme

    Dear NextGEN Gallery Support,

    I am getting this error message when trying to upload even very small image files to NextGEN galleries:
    “An unexpected error occured. This is most likely due to a server misconfiguration. Check your PHP error log or ask your hosting provider for assistance.”

    I have read all the forum posts I can find that mention this error, and also all the posts stating AVADA. I have tried the code hack mentioned in one of those old posts to class.nextgen_shortcode_manager.php but the code is different to the code detailed in that old post.

    These are all up to date:
    WordPress = 4.4
    NextGEN = 2.1.20 (fresh install, not an upgrade)
    AVADA – 3.9.1

    – MYSQL Version : 5.5.46-cll
    – PHP Version : 5.4.42
    – The mod_rewrite Apache module activated – sorry but I don’t know how to find this
    – PHP Safe Mode IS OFF

    I have deactivated all plugins except NextGEN Gallery, switched theme to TwentyFifteen, logged out, cleared the Firefox (v 43.0.2) cache, logged in and the problem persists.

    Please can you help me to get NextGEN working?

    I’ve contacted my hosting company and here is the debug.log message being triggered when I try to upload an image to a NextGEN gallery:

    [29-Dec-2015 01:09:15 UTC] PHP Notice: Undefined index: import_singular in /home/****/public_html/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/products/photocrati_nextgen/modules/nextgen_addgallery_page/templates/import_media_library.php on line 16

    Can someone please help me with a solution so I can get my galleries working.

    I’ve given up on NextGEN gallery.

    I have installed a different gallery plugin that works perfectly with my site.

    So I am marking this topic as resolved.

    @eagle_007 – Thanks for the updates and our apologies for any inconveniences.

    At a quick glance, although we are not seeing this elsewhere, the message you are referring to appears to be related to something with translations.
