If you want to do that please try adding the following CSS code in the style.css file of your child theme or if your theme doesn’t have custom CSS tab add it in your site using the following plugin:

Any idea how I can remove the slideshow on the home page? Can’t seem to find the right code without crashing the whole page.

Have you tried:

div.cycle-slideshow {
   display:none;
}

This doesn’t remove it- just hides it from the screen essentially. I wonder if the theme has something built within it to disable that feature?
