Can't Login And Can't Reset Password ("username does not exist" error)

  • Hi there,

    My site is: https://theironmaiden.ca/wp-login.php

    For some reason I am not able to login like usual – not accepting my current username and password – and when I try to reset the password it says that my username does not exist; I also tried my email address and I get the same error. So I am not able to login, and cannot reset the password. What do I do?

  • Hi,

    If you have access to PHPmyAdmin, you can access your database, carefully look for table called “users” and click on it…

    It will show you a list of users and all other info.

    The first one is usually the first user created and that would be your username under username. After you find what it is, do the password reset again.
