Can Profile Builder do this or should I look for another plugin?

    I wish to create around 10 to 15 different user groups which will allow people to access apps dependent on which region in the world they are in.

    I have a number of user registrations already (nothing to do with Profile Builder) and I would like to set up the accounts for them with pre-existing email addresses and password they already use on another website (soon to become redundant).

    Before I start immersing myself into the learning process of Profile Builder I just wanted to check this is possible?

    Any advice much appreciated

  • Hi,

    A workaround would be to use Profile Builder Hobbyist v2 that has Extra Fields types like Select(user role).

    Then you could use a free plugin like Members to create those 15 different roles. When a new user register he will be able to select the appropriate role and with that role he can access the apps. Another useful free plugin would be Nav Menu Roles to display or hide menu items based on user role.

    Also you need to restrict access to the apps based on role.
