• My basic question: on a single install of WP, can I attach my subdomains to category pages?

    The detail:
I would like to have one blog, where 2 of the other categories–tech and music–get their own subdomain. The “tech” and “blog” subdomains currently exist and are already recieving traffic, so I would like to keep using them.

I currently am using multiple blogs in Blogger to accomplish this, but I’d like to blog in a single place and then let tags/categories sort out what goes on what site.

Is this possible? If it’s something that requires separate installs of WP, it’s not really worth it to switch from Blogger.

I apologize for asking this question yet again, but…I’ve seen this asked in other places, but not really answered. There seemed to have been a plugin at one point for this, but does not work with newer versions of WP. Thanks!

Thanks, whoomai. I did find that plugin, but you’re right: that’s the one that doesn’t work. This is the last comment in the thread:

“Unfortunately, we no longer support the subdomain plugin. It stopped working a couple of updates ago, and since a stopped using it on this site, in ended up on the back burner. We’re so busy right now with client work that I don’t think we’ll get to it anytime soon.”

    That was on January 30.
