• Hi,

    Info: Using Mac.

I’m trying to translate my theme into danish, which I’ve done with Poedit. So far so good – I’ve created the .mo and .po file.

Now I need to edit the wp_config file to add “define (‘WPLANG’, ‘dk_DK’);” but when I open the wp_config file in Filezilla and want to edit it, the file automatically opens in Notes (or so it seems, it opens Notes but nothing else happens).

I’ve downloaded TextMate to edit the file but I can’t get the wp_config file to open in this (or TextEdit if that would work).

    What’s the solution?

    Thanks

The WPLANG constant has been deprecated in favor of the Site Language option under Settings → General, so all you really need to do is use that option instead. ??

From the Finder, right click on the file, select Open With, then choose TextMate in the list there (if you don’t see it, go to the bottom of the list and click Other, and it will open your Applications folder for you to choose the app you want to use).

    Thank you ??

So now I just need to upload the new theme file I generated with Poedit, correct? I did change the language under Settings -> General, but several things are still in English (Related Posts, Written By etc.).

When I do this, all my settings will disappear and I have to do it all over again (logo, widgets, sidebar settings etc.) right? It’s the same theme as now, I’ve just edited the language file.
