    can you pull a log of install please?

    i had this issue once, when rewriting a database.

    Maybe you did overwrite the name of mysql database?

    In general, it writes to:

    wp_posts
    wp_comments

    so on…

    If the host server, port, and such is OK, WP knows no need to add “myqsl.” .. before every table.

    Feel free to comment, but in general my setups would log:
    wp_posts ok
    wp_comments ok

    You get the idea,
