Membership setting must be turned on

    Hi
    I’m getting this message at the top of CMS screen: “The Membership setting must be turned on in order for the New User Approve to work correctly”.
    However, I do not wish to check the option in Settings>General > Anyone can register.

    Is this the setting the message relates to? Will the plugin not function if the option to let anyone register is unchecked?

    The plugin is installed with WP-Members plugin
