• Hello,

I’m currently using XML Sitemap Generator for WordPress 3.0.3 and it has been working great for some time.

Today, I noticed that it was rendering the following error: “The last run didn’t finish! Maybe you can raise the memory…”.

I checked the sitemap.xml file and noticed it was not valid XML. The </urlset> tag at the end of the file was missing. I added it back in and everything was fine.

I’ve noticed, however, that every time that the XML Sitemap Generator plugin rebuilds the sitemap, it drops the </urlset> tag and the sitemap becomes bad again.

Any ideas on how to fix this? Is there an issue with a setting or a PHP file that I can try changing?

    Regards,

    Alex

  • Maybe the building process runs out of memory… could you try to
raise the memory limit by entering “16M” into the text field next to
“Try to increase the memory limit to:” at the plugin options panel? If
that doesn’t work, please click on “debug function” at the first panel
and watch out for any errors (there might be some “notices” which is
    normal).

I’m having the same problem. The xml-file is being made without a closing </urlset>. If I manually add this, it’s okay.

Memory limit is 32M (needed: 16.75M according to the feedback I get from the plugin), time used to process: 1.14 seconds and 371 posts were added to the sitemap.

Suggestions on how to fix this are more than welcome!
