Editing the original post doesnt seem to be working right now… the max width is supposedly 840px accdg to the quickstats of 2016… I assume this is what I’m after, but I don’t know how to activate it for posts.

Hi, I’m a newbie and would appreciate help with the appearance of my 2016 blog.

The photos are full width (960 pxls, I know, but still the same if I edit down to 840) so they overhang the narrower band of text which is restricted to the centre. No matter how I try I cannot justify the text to stretch out as far left as the photos. The result is the left hand edge of the page zig zags in and out as you scroll down – text in/photo out/text in etc etc. Does anyone know how I can simply widen the text to get a block that matches the justification of the photos. Or is this is the default of 2016 as appears from the demo?
