Add Media button not working after 4.4.1 install

Try deactivating *all* plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the Twenty Sixteen theme to rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

If neither of those make any difference, try adding define('CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS', false); to your wp-config.php file just below the define('DB_HOST' line.

To do so, access your server via FTP or SFTP and edit the file with a plain text editor.

Thanks for the information. So when I changed the theme to 2016 the add media works fine. Should I try to reach out to the developer or is the work around script you mentioned a possible fix to my current theme which is Coalition?

It would be much better to just get the theme fixed.

Other community members who may have faced your issue might be able to help you but your best bet is your product’s developer. I am having the exact same problem, even when I upload Twenty Sixteen theme , the add media button still does not function.

How do I find the define(‘DB_HOST’ line?

I am very new to all of this and the learning curve is steep, and sometimes frustrating when unable to complete such a simple task like adding images. Please walk me through in the most simple instructions! Thanks

I have also done the following Updated to 4.4.1 and now when I try to add media to a post nothing happens. I can upload to my media library but when I place the cursor in a post and click add media nothing happens. Have disabled plugins, cleared cache and cookies, restarted, tried different browsers etc. Am on Safari 9.0.2 running OS X 10.11.2

In the twenty sixteen theme there was no line of code called define(‘CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS’
Therefore I do not know where to add the code
define(‘CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS’, false)

Where should I add this line of code?
