• Last week, form emails stopped going out but still displayed the green message that the message had gone thru.

This week, emails have resumed, but the contact forms are giving an error message, while still sending the emails. “Failed to send your message. Please try later or contact the administrator by another method.”

I am using mandrillapp to send the messages. My account should be a legacy account and not be affected my any SPF or DKIM verification settings from August. It was working up until last week.

I have changed senders, added additional headers to the messages, and nothing seems to change this.

    Any suggestions?

Right, I think my issue is that it was working fine one day, then not the next, and now semi working. No content had changed within the email, or the headers, from when the emails were working perfectly.

I have done a lot of testing with changing the FROM email address (all addresses are valid email addresses and match the sending domain) and the content of the emails. I also added additional headers (SENDER) and nothing has changed the behavior.

DKIM and SPF records have been added, but shouldn’t be affecting the behavior eitheer.

Sounds like you’ve got a tricky one. Could be a problem in your Mandrill setup.

?I’d recommend you use Postman SMTP Mailer/Email Log temporarily to give you some clues – it includes excellent email debugging.
