WP Super Cache – Help please?

    Hello,

    The prerequisite before installing the WP Super Cache plugin is said to be this:

    • “You must have mod mime, mod rewrite and fancy permalinks enabled (before installing WP Super Cache)”

      • Could someone please tell me how to enable those 3 things? Are they plugins? I’m so confused.

    Ask your host about mod_mime and mod_rewrite, they’re apache webserver modules. If you have any permalinks set other than the default then mod_rewrite is working, but you’d still need to talk to your host about mod_mime.

    One last thing.

    Could you please tell me how to enable Fancy Permalinks?

    In Admin > Options > Permalinks, the only options I see are:

    — Default

    — Date and name based

    — Numeric

    — Custom, specify below

    Any permalinks other than default are considering “fancy”.
