Redirection and message in popup

I have a couple of issues regarding the popup.
1. when the popup is closed it redirects me to a login page we have for the site. how Can we just keep them in the page with the form or redirect to the home page.
2. the message in the popup has a number 1 (“1. “) to start the message. how can i remove that.
