Subdomain to root?

  • I have designed a revamped website at a subdomain of my main website, how do I move the subdomain to replace the existing www site?

    1 & 1 are my hosts.

    When you’re done, re-save your permalink structure at Settings/Permalinks in your admin panel (even if nothing has changed). If WordPress cannot automatically edit the .htaccess file, it will provide manual instructions after saving. Then, confirm the “Store uploads in this folder” value at Settings/Media and re-save (even if nothing has changed).

    All other broken links and image URLs will have to be manually changed by editing the posts, pages, and theme templates.
