• I haven’t found it, so I have to post this…

I have a custom post type that needs no translation (universal content). However, I want the visitor to be able to switch the language, so that the menu etc changes, but the page (where no translation exists, because it is universal) just reloads.

Is there a URL switch to force a language, eg ?lang=de (which I tried, doesn’t work)?

    Thanks.

    Hi!

I understand your need but in WordPress, each post has a unique url and Polylang does not circumvent that. What you request would result in several urls ( one per language) for a post.

    Well… No.

If I switch language (eg through the home page) and come back to the page (lets say its a custom post type archive, like [domain]/custom_type/), the language is set just fine.

So all I need is a way to set the language manually on calling a non-language-specific page.
