Add credit card mask and validation to field

I’d like to add a mask (two types: one for amex and another for the rest) and a validation the dashes are put in the right places. Is there a plugin or custom code available to do this?
ex: xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx or xxx-xxxxxx-xxxxxx
