    Hello,

I am using QFI Pro. It works very well, can help you to put featured images in a lot of posts very very quickly. Thank you Martin ??

The only issue for me is duplicated images.

    Please explain how to:
    – Remove duplicated images on current featured images;
    and then
    – Replace removed images by new images?

So that there is no duplicated images anymore on the website.

    Thanks in advance.

Thank you for the feedback. That is a very interesting task. There is no functionality for that. (Not yed? I will ponder about that.)

You can take this way. It may be not the quick way, but the quickest way:

    1. Make sure the image column is visible for the post type. You can switch it on in “Featured Images” > “Image Columns”
    2. Go to the posts list page (“Post” or “Pages”)
    3. Sort the posts by image per click on the column headline “Featured Image”
    4. Right click on the posts with undesired featured images and open them in a new window or tab
    5. In each post remove the featured image, close the window or tab
    6. Set new featured images
    1. Go to “Featured Images” > “Set, replace, remove”, select the action “Set multiple images randomly”, click on “Choose Images” and select the new images, click on “Next”
    2. Make sure the option “Overwrite existing images” is not activated
    3. Activate the option “Use each selected image only once”
    4. Filter posts if desired, click on “Assign”
    5. Run steps 6.1 – 6.4 repeatedly until all posts have featured images

If there could be such an automated function how should the new images be selected? Like in step 6.1?

Thank you Martin, I will try it asap and then let you know if it works (and inform to other Pro version licence holders in the Pro Forum, too).

By the way, it would be interesting if you add this feature on the Pro version ??

    Have a nice evening!

    Hello Martin,

There are about 400 featured images on my website (I then cannot know how many duplicated images).

The manual method you suggested is the easiest way, but it also is very very slow to do ??

This is not the most interesting value of your plugin (“the quickness”) ??

As I suggested above, if you do not mind, this feature should be added to the Pro version; it will be widely appreciated by your Pro users, I am sure.

    Regards.

I do think so, too. I am designing some solutions for that. Please answer my last question: How should the plugin select “new images”? What would you like to see there?
