I have been having issues with receiving too many email alerts with this plugin. Therefore I tried deactivating the plugin with the option to remove all database tables and data and then I deleted the plugin. I thought once I cleared everything out, I could re-install and set up the options more thoughtfully. I checked my database and indeed all the tables have been removed. However, I’m still getting the email alerts. They won’t stop. How to I stop this madness??

I am having similar issues as @marinite.

I too am interested in how to make it so this plugin does not email me each time I’ve logged in…see below for example of that email:

    WARNING: SOMEONE HAS LOGGED IN!

Obviously, I’m aware that I have logged into the site…Please advise.

Another email alert I would like to stop is the one that tells me a plugin is not update as I monitor all of my clients’ sites’ plugins up-to-date-ness not through the Security feature, but through an Update feature (provided in a different plugin) – so I don’t need additional notification of this information…see below for example of that email:

WARNING: SERIOUS PROBLEM. A PLUGIN IN NOT UPDATED TO LATEST VERSION!!

    Please advise…Thank you.

@marinite Can you use sftp or ftp to access your web server and look for a backup directory of your site? It might have been one you made or your hosting company made. In most of the cases we have found with this issue it has turned out to be someone who left a working backup of a site in their public_html or www directory. If the old site is in there, then it is still vulnerable and plugins in there are still working. We recommend if you want or need to keep a backup of the site, you do so on your local computer.
