• Going through error logs on unbuilt sites, I see about one hundred errors, all the same.

    [Mon Jan 11 10:32:29 2016] [error]
    [client 157xxxxxxx226]
PHP Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /path-is-hidden.com/wp-includes/link-template.php on line 1141

It’s not in my theme and I’ve done nothing but install and configure. No tinkering with files. I’m wondering if this is an issue to be fixed or just a strange but useless error?

Using FTP , or your web-host’s cPanel or whatever file management application your host provides (no Dashboard access required)., try uploading a fresh copy of /wp-includes/link-template.php from a fresh download of WordPress.

Or better yet, try updating your WP to the latest4.4.1

My sites generally auto update. I’ll check tomorrow which version is running.
