Hosting Migration and BIG PROBLEMS !
-
I have just migrated one account from my old server to a brand new server through a full backup of cPanel
The problems is that the new account is not working at all, is giving an strange errors that I have never seen..
If I create a new post and click either ‘save and continue’ or just ‘save,’ all that happens is a pop-up dialog
box asking me if I’d like to open or download a file called post.php.
If I try to create a new post/page or edit an existing post/page when I click on Save or Publish
instead of saving or publishing the article my browser (firefox) opens a dialog box asking for me to save or open post.php or page.php
If I want to go to the options tab in the admin cpanel of wordpress a pop-up dialog box
asking me if I’d like to open or download a file called options.php.
The same thing happens with all tabs from my admin cpanel of wordpress.
Firefox, it asks if I want to download a php file, and in IE it just gives me a “This page cannot be displayed”
Some times when I access the address of site I got blank pages or when I make clik in some tabs of my admin wordpress cpanel. All this things began after my host made the migration in the new server.
I tried re-installing several times, as well as emptying plug-ins and themes.
I upgraded the wordpress version to see if that would fix it, but without result. With wordpress v.2.2.3 I have the same problems.
With wordpress v.2.3.3 I have the same problems. Now when I try to upload a file don’t work anymore. I get this error :
“ERROR HTTP ERROR : the name of photo.jpg : 406” (this if I try to upload images with NextGen Gallery 0.83 wordpress plugin)
(this plugin has worked perfectly before the migration)The server runs on Apache, Mysql, and PHP :
Apache version 1.3.39 (Unix)
PHP version 4.4.8
MySQL version 4.1.22-standardMy hosting support told me to put in .htaccess this: php_flag register_globals on
I put the php_flag register_globals on in .htaccess file to see if that would fix it, but without result. Please help me! I have 10 sites with the same problems.
Thanks!
