Removing a div using child theme

  • I’m using a child theme to edit my parent theme, but there is a div that I want removed. It displays comments and date above my posts on my main page, and I don’t want that.

    If I click “remove element” using google inspect tool (F9) it disappears. I want to do this in my code, but I can’t find where it is!

    How do I find this div using google and how do I remove it using a child theme?
