    Hello,

    I was having trouble today, getting the error message in the topic title of this post, when people try to sign up for the newsletter. I know there is some documentation on this (could link please be sent?), but I can’t figure out the likely source of today’s problem. After upgrading to the latest version of the plugin, and upgrading to the latest version of WordPress, everything seemed to be working–people could sign up for the mail chimp newsletter.

    But now, people are again reporting that they are receiving the error message again.

    I was wondering if there are any known conflicts with the other plugins I use (Yoast SEO premium, Better Click to Tweet, Google Analytics for WordPress, Perfect Pullquotes, Post Type Order, Simple Custom CSS, WP Spam Shield). Some of these plug-ins are not up to date–could that be an issue?

    Hi Naandrews,

    This error is not generated by our plugin, so it must indeed be a conflict with another plugin. The page is giving us a “403 forbidden” error status code (in HTTP) so my guess is that the “WP Spam Shield” plugin is doing something..

    Can you try disabling that plugin to see if that works?
