put blog stats inside a post ?

I would like to be able to put my blog stats inside a post so that everyone can see them. I.e. the bit that says

“There are currently 353 posts and 318 comments, contained within 48 categories and 0 tags.”

but not in a widget in a column (on every page), actually embedded in a particular post.
