weird behaviour when manually placing ads

  • I try to manually place 4 Ads on one post (all from adsense, 3xLinkblock and 1 Banner).
    Ad5,6,7 are Linkblocks (same code), Ad10 is a Banner.

    So I place them sequentially. It works for the first three but after placing Ad10, only Ad5,6 are shown (Ad7 disappears and Ad10 never appears)

    I don’t know if it even matters for manually placing ads but the limit is set to 10 ads per page.

    are you using only manual ads or are there any ads placed with the automatic function?

    A screenshot of the post with shortcode and of the settings would be helpful

    I set up the automatic function (screenshot) but on this particular post I use the option ‘Hide default ads, use manually placed ads’.

    Thats weird. I recreated it exactly as in your example and everything is working fine.

    I am using sample code like “ad1, ad2 etc.” Is it possible that the ads are embedded on your site but are not shown and hidden automatically by the adsense algorithm? You can check this if you look into source code of your site and count the amount of occurrences of:

    I’m looking for <div class="quads-location" because WP deletes all the comments from the source code. But no, if I add the 4th block I’ll find ‘quads-location’ only twice in my source code.

    I thought it might have something todo with QuickAdsense(old) previously being installed but I couldn’t find any signs in posts or postmeta

    WPQUADS is using different option tables so it’s unlikely that old Quick AdSense is the reason here.

    Btw. do you have the same issue with Quick AdSense?

    It should be ok to install quick adsense and than disable WPQUADS. Settings should be kept after activating again.
