Chatterbox

I too wouldn’t mind getting this answer. I’d really hate to use something like flooble’s chatterbox.
Has anyone scripted an open source, less ridiculous version? Is there a plugin out there?

now that you’ve mentioned flooble, how do you get it in the sidebar menu of wp?

go to one of the popular php script repositories and search for shoutbox or chatterbox and include it into your sidebar or footer.

most of these stand alone javascript and php scripts work on their own, once you have it working, simply include it into a pretty div, or a handsome ul in the menu.

if you get stuck once you get started, come back and share. this is good info and i’m sure a lot of people want to know this too.

Yes – the sidebar is the <div id=”menu”> part of index.php (1.2.x)

i can’t find the div thing in index.php and i really don’t know how to get it done?

can someone give me a DETAIL step by step approach to this? I think I am reading Greek…

Okay, by “chatterbox” do you guys mean “shoutbox” or “tagboard”?

If so, there’s a fairly decent one (or so I’m told, as I personally have ZERO use for it) called “wordspew” (ugh…. but anyway….)
