I don’t think you understand the metabox. It shows by default the first couple of words, if you click on the pencil the default words are gone and you can type your own description, and that one you can edit as many times you want without losing it.

Yes ! 1000^1000 time i do the same as you wrote, but unlucky after i have done, Yoast clear text and … oh my god !

I changed the default description, changed in my own, save the post and I can edit my description with selection and changing words with no problem
