index.php/category/uncategorised/ says "Oops! That page can’t be found."

  • I have installed the latest version of WordPress [4.4.1] and initialised the site. When the default category of ‘Uncategorised’ is selected from the sidebar of the public site the URL index.php/category/uncategorised/ returns the above message.

  • If you create another category, can you access that category with no problems?

    If not, try resetting your permalinks. (Set to default, save, select new setting, save.)
